The origin of the name
The Troja vineyard is called after Jan Kašpar Salabka, who founded it in 1769. The grapevine is grown on the south-east slope between Troja and Bohnice. This unique location provides ideal conditions for the grapevine´s growth.

Salabka was registered as a protected landscape area in 1982
A Czech cultivator professor Vilém Kraus (a native from Lednice) had a significant influence on modernization of the vineyard Salabka. He recommended preservation of an old clone Rhine Riesling. Later on other varieties were planted - Müller Thurgau, Scheurebe, Pinot Noir, also Pinot Blanc, Hibernal, Neronet and Tintet.
There are ten thousand grapevine plants imported from Burgundy, France as well. These transplants include mainly Pinot Noir, Müller Thurgau a Scheurebe, Pinot Blanc, Hibernal, Neronet just as in the times of  ceasar Charles IV. The vineyard house includes everything you can wish: modern winery, a restaurant with a terrace, which is an architectural masterpiece, and the first Prague distillery. Apartments are designed in a style of French vineyard houses named after scents: Cassis, Lavender and Rosemary and grapevine: Rulanda, Rosé and Riesling.

Modern history since 2014
The vineyard house has a truly unique atmosphere. It is located in the countryside and therefore the reconstruction of the restaurant, the winery or the penzion was done in harmony with nature. Architects had it in mind every step they took. Natural materials such massive wood, exposed stone, foundry  ironwork, professional service and cuisine are in perfect harmony with historical Troja, its vineyards and nature. Whether you are enjoying lunch, dinner or coffee with a cake, you won´t miss the magnificent view of the winery.

Salabka in Troja provides great wines
If you ever try these wines, you won´t disagree. Grapevine is not only grown here but also processed after being hand-picked. The wine grower Tomáš Isička from south Moravia is in charge the work. The job was recommended to him by his friend and he has been producing wine here ever since. This year wasvery successful for Salabka. The weather was perfect for the grapes and is considered a great year according to Mr. Osička´s professional opinion. The grapes were full of sun and in their best condition. Grape harvest attracted not only people from our country but also students of winery from Spain and Italy. They had the opportunity to taste Federweisser, a wine not so popular in their countries. If you are interested in wine tasting, you can attend one at Salabka. Wine tasting takes place every months and provides an opportunity to taste wines on the current menu as well as some new ones.

Extraordinary comination on the plate
I can say without exaggeration that the dishes are elegant, colourful, full of  flavours and textures. Such combination can be enjoyed by all senses. And this is exactly the uniquness which you can expect at Salabka. Traditional recipies, modern concept and fresh and quality ingredients are a must in this place.A chef Petr Kunc, who worked for years in the best reastaurants in England, prepared a completely new concept. You will appreciate originality of  the dishes, harmony of used ingredients and unique style of service. If you have a glass of local wine in addition, you will enjoy an unforgettable experience.
